Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Traffic Control Flagger. The Traffic Control Flagger plays a crucial role in maintaining safe traffic flow and protecting workers in construction zones and other designated areas. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic in accordance with established traffic control plans and procedures.
Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barricades, to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
Communicate effectively with drivers, construction crew members, and other personnel to coordinate traffic flow and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed to address changing circumstances or emergencies.
Provide clear and concise instructions to drivers and pedestrians to facilitate safe navigation through construction zones and work areas.
Maintain a vigilant watch for potential hazards and unsafe behavior, intervening as necessary to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all individuals on-site.
Follow all relevant regulations and guidelines governing traffic control operations, including those outlined by OSHA and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
Complete required training and certification programs to ensure proficiency in traffic control procedures and techniques.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid flagger certification/license (if required by state or local regulations).
Previous experience in traffic control or related field preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain focused and alert in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
A willingness to adhere to strict safety protocols and always follow established procedures.
